We’re so glad you’re here. Whether you’re new to church, new to the area, or just looking for a place to belong—you're invited to come and see what life at Hillsborough UMC is all about. There’s space here for you.

  • What’s it like on a Sunday?

    Worship begins at 10:00 AM, and lasts about an hour. Come as your everyday self—jeans, dress clothes, or something in between. Kids are welcome in worship, and we have plenty of tools to help them engage in worship. Our liturgy follows the United Methodist order of Word and Table—scripture, hymns, and the Eucharist will always be part of what we do.

    Parking:
    Street parking is available just off Wake Street, or along the streets next to the church.

    Entrances:
    The main entrance is through the sanctuary doors facing Tryon Street. You’ll be greeted warmly at the door!

  • Kids Are Welcome Here

    Children are a vital part of our community. During worship, kids are invited to participate with the whole congregation, singing hymns and sharing in communion. If you need it, we have space for parents who need to help their child take a break—just ask anyone around you for help!

We’re a United Methodist church, following Jesus by practicing grace, growing in faith, and serving our neighbors. We don’t all believe exactly the same things, but we journey together.
